It’s 1974 and Britain is on the verge of social and economic collapse. Ten-year-old Dan, who has just bought his first single and is about to witness four Swedes run away with the Eurovision Song Contest, has an altogether different idea: POP MUSIC.

In a series of eight hour-long shows, author and musician Dan Synge brings his memoir Whatever Happened to the Teenage Dream? to the airwaves, recalling through words and song the thrilling musical journey he once took, spanning the eras of glam, punk, new wave and 80s pop.

Artists featured in the series include ABBA, T Rex, The Cure, Joy Division, Generation X, The Human League, Talking Heads, Orange Juice and many more.

What they say about the show:
