It’s 1974 and Britain is on the verge of social and economic collapse. Ten-year-old Dan, who has just bought his first single and is about to witness four Swedes run away with the Eurovision Song Contest, has an altogether different idea: POP MUSIC.

In a series of one-hour-long radio shows, author and musician Dan Synge brings his memoir Whatever Happened to the Teenage Dream? to the airwaves, recalling through words and song the thrilling musical journey he once took, spanning the eras of glam, punk, new wave and 80s pop.

Whatever Happened to the Teenage Dream? Words and Music with Dan Synge

starts Friday 19 September on Heritage Chart Radio. 6-7pm every Friday, then repeated 6-7am Mondays. Available also on repeat via https://www.mixcloud.com/HeritageChartRadio/

“A fun and poignant read…hang on tight for a ride on the rock ‘n’ roll roller coaster!”
